The royal guards were an elite force selected from pharaoh's bravest and most capable soldiers. These guardsmen are armed with the 'khopesh' a curved type of sword which derived its shape from the hand sickles used as farm implements. These figures were sculpted by Kev Adams and painted by Paul Sanderson.
